Phosphor bronze wire is made from approximately 92% copper, 7% zinc and 1% phosphorous. Phosphor Bronze provides nice highs and lows with pleasant subtle overtones. Phosphorous is used to help reduce tarnish and corrosion.

9-42 Super Light Phosphor Bronze

These strings are FANTASTIC! I installed them on a Fender Acoustasonic Stratocaster and they make it play smoother, faster and with the best tone that it's EVER had. Curt Mangan is the ONLY string manufacturer that offers this "Super Light" gauge Phosphor Bronze set. Which is only one reason why I'll keep coming back for more!

Love them, all of my acoustics have them. I prefer 9 gauge on my electrics and have always wanted them for acoustic playing. The phosphor bronze tone really brings the guitars to life and the sound jumps right off the instrument and fills the room with sound. Excellent.
