My favorite strings
5 Stars

Since I was recommended them, I have put them on all my Gibson archtops ('51 L-7C, '37 ES-150, '57 L-5CES) and I'm not looking back. They are bright but not metallic-sounding, not stiff, last forever, and sound incredible.

Jazz Strings

For a Flat Wound I get a nice soft but bright tone and the action is not stiff like other Flat Wounds. Love these strings on my 1977 Gibson L-5 and my 1966 Guild X500.

Great tone, nice touch and long lasting. Flat round strings that react like regular wound. A bit pricy but worth it. Thanks Curt Mangan.

Great New Flat on the Market
5 Stars

Great strings in terms of feel, sound, and intonation. They are warmer than D'addario, with a grittier feel like GHS or DR flatwounds. I prefer this kind of texture. They are a traditional 13-56 set with a 26 for the g (unlike thomastik which are thinner for the g, d, a strings). when you find the sweet spot with the bridge and truss rod on an arch top, they have the right amount of tension and acoustic volume. These are right in there with the top flat-wounds.
