I spent years buying different gauge sets from a major string manufacturer to pilfer a piecemeal hybrid set of my own to meet my specific needs—lights (9s) on top and super-heavy (11s) on bottom. I had carpal tunnel in both wrists and my hands would go numb right in the middle of a solo, and so I’d have to rely on muscle memory (and light strings on top) to get me through while still needing that low .050 on the 6th string for the drop-B and drop-C tunings. Fast forward to the time that my go-to local guitar store (The Fret Shop – Huntsville AL) mentioned that they were carrying a new string manufacturer who could make and sell custom sets for me through the shop, and I was immediately sold on this brilliant, game-changing idea! Made the switch to Mangans and I’ve never looked back. I’ve been a ride-or-die Curt Mangan Strings user for almost 2 decades now via my fave local music shop that let me custom order string sets with gauges that I couldn’t find in big brand pre-packaged string sets (lights on top; super-heavies on bottom). Curts electric guitar strings feel absolutely great under my fingers. Superb tone and great sustain plugged in as well as acoustically. And the ability to choose my string gauge on a set is just straight awesome. Top notch strings all around.

To be fair I've had a set on for a week or so, but initial impressions are great! Very balanced and kinda have that "new set that is played in" sound out of the (very cool) package.
