Simply the best strings I’ve ever used. I’ve been ordering custom sets off and on since 2003. Back then I needed electric strings for a custom tuning (C G D G B D/E) and nothing off the shelf worked. My local guitar shop at the time (BOB’s Music in Plattaburgh, NY) carried CM strings and recommended I order a custom set. I fell in love instantly. The feel, tone, and longevity can’t be matched by any other string brand, and I’ve tried them all over the last 25 years. Amazing diverse selection of gauges and styles for experimentation (I’m still finding my perfect balanced set) and infinite customization, coupled with fast shipping, mean I’ll never order from another string company. I love Curt Mangan Strings. I did a custom set for my Schecter Hellriser in C# standard. Excellent tension. No too loose but tight enough. Bottom End is tight and punchy. This strings are not for everyone. Tension is a bit tighter than other strings. More than Daddario that I used to play with. But perfect for me. I’m a bit intense with my playing and I tend to over bend. CM strings have tamed my rough fingers. Never going back to anything else. Give them a try.

I've been playing for nearly 40 years and can say these are without any doubt the best strings I have ever used (I've been using CM for about 3 years now). Simply put, they last longer, stay brighter and I have never broken one. Being able to make up custom sets is a nice touch too.

I've never done custom gauged strings before but wanted to do two experiments, first going with a properly defined set of strings with balanced tension and also to go to a lighter gauge to do some personal tone tests. The strings sound and feel great and the only downside is that I will have to order more.

In one word, MAGIC!!! Gauges are 9.5-12.5-18-26-38-48. Highs sparkle with extreme control and range on bends which are smooth as silk. Mids cut through the mix without stepping on the vocals, and bottom end is big and articulate without a trace of mud... They play like a dream and even our music director commented how much he loved my tone the first time I played them at rehearsal! One other word: Transformative! You will LOVE these strings!!!
