58 80/20 Bronze Single String

$3.01

Length: 43 Inches 80/20 Bronze wound strings are often called old-school, vintage and/or bright bronze and were the most popular (only) alloy used to make acoustic strings until the introduction of phosphor in the early Seventies. 80/20 bronze wire is made from 80 percent copper and 20 percent zinc. 80/20 bronze provides balanced highs and lows with a slight increased in mid-range that seems to make the notes cut-through a little more.

Perfect for Drop D Tuning
5 Stars

I use the 58s an old Martin kept in Drop D tuning. The tone is second to none. I play Irish traditional music and it supports the bottom end beautifully.

Down tune Acoustic
5 Stars

The .058" 80/20 Bronze string is perfect on my Taylor 616 CE when tuning down 1/2 step, more volume, zero muddiness, and beautiful tone.
