"I've been using Mangan Strings for some time now. They're always consistent, produce HUGE tone and I've never had one break. On most of my guitars I use the Allen Hinds signature set but on my strats I've been using the Matt Schofield sets.  I wanted to get a little more out of my strat, so I approached Curt about doing a set extremely close to the set Stevie Ray ordered from Dave Cowles at GHS back in the day. It's essentially the Schofield set with a few of the strings bumped up in gauge slightly. The only real difference between my set and Stevie's is I decided to go with a 20 on the G string instead of a 19. I think it balances the tension between the strings extremely well and it helps minimize all the inherent problems that come with the G string. I can honestly say I've never had my strat vibrate and sing like it does with this set on it. And with Mangan you always have the option of ordering an additional 13 for the full SRV experience!"

While living and performing in Branson, MO, Jon was chosen to play guitar for Missouri's first ever All College Jazz Ensemble. While a part of this group Jon led his own jazz trio which entertained Presidents and world leaders including President Clinton (who sat in and played sax), President Bush, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, General Colin Powell, and Lt. Col. Ollie North, among others.

JP then proceeded to move to Los Angeles and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the famed Musician's Institute. While there he was fortunate to study/perform/jam/tour with many of his influences; Scott Henderson, Joe Diorrio, Paul Gilbert, Robben Ford, Zakk Wylde, George Lynch, Steve Lukather, Brett Garsed, Sid Jacobs, and The Edgar Winter Band among others.

While in L.A. Jon worked with several writing partners and had music placed in a multitude of independent films. This led to him working with and recording with Australian Pop/Movie star Scott Brewer. One song Jon co-wrote with Scott for his cd "10 Minutes Later" was so well received it was released as a remix on Scott's next cd. This led to the song being released yet again in Spanish for the Latin community.

Jon has proven himself to be a top shelf visionary and is currently an Artist for PRS Guitars, FatBol Clothing, Colby Amplification, Euphoria Plectrums & Divine Noise cables.

Jon’s current projects include his original band Jon Pyle & The Blacklight Syndicate, Jon Pyle & Riviera Paradise (SRV Tribute), Skynyrd Nation (Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute), Jon Pyle & Guy Snowden Present an Evening of Queen (Queen Tribute) and guitarist of the famed industrial metal band Ravenwood.
