There's no right or wrong here. You decide what works for you!  We are able to offer you this service and the huge range of string choices because Curt Mangan makes his own strings right here in Cortez, Colorado and all wire is USA made. Custom Strings

Posted by Henry on 10th Oct 2019

I like playing in low open tunings, but find it difficult to find strings with a heavy bottom. It was nice to build my own custom set. That being said, my Yamaha 830, tuned to DADGAD flat, hated these strings. However my Taylor 410 tuned to open F loves these strings.

    Incredible Deal, Great Service

Posted by Bob Knight on 30th Dec 2018

I was a longtime user of "M"-brand strings, but, when they stopped offering half-gauge strings, I had to go hunting. I ran across Curt Mangan's strings, and, as a bonus, discovered that I could create entire custom-gauge sets! AND, they sound great, and last long. Great prices, too, especially if you buy quantities.
