Pure Nickel electric and Monel Electric/acoustic strings

I recently became acquainted with Curt Mangan strings. I had been using Thomastik Bebop round wound and Swing flatwound strings on my Archtops and solid body electrics, and Elixir Phosphor Bronze on my flattop guitars. I tried the Curt Mangan pure nickel on the Archtops & electrics and monel strings for my flattop guitars. The pure nickel strings are amazing!!!!! They have the warm fat sound of flatwounds with the full range sound and overtones of round wounds (and at half the price!!). The monels are great for my flattops!! I generally don’t like the extreme brightness of phosphor bronze acoustic strings. The Monels keep the complex acoustic sound I prefer without the excessive brightness. This is a wonderful update to my acoustic flattop guitar sound. many thanks to Curt Mangan Strings!!!!!!!!!

I used another brand 9.5-44 set and didn't like the way the 'G' and 'D' were sized. Ordered the Custom 4 pack with the sizes I thought would work best for me and these strings are Killer!! Not only did they 'feel' more comfortable the tone was outstanding!!

These are such great strings. They last forever and feel terrific. My custom set runs 9, 11.5, 15, 24, 32, 42 and this just feels so much better than the standard nine set. Thanks Curt Mangan for making this possible!

I am amazed that they can put a custom set together, print up custom packaging and get them out so fast. The strings are fabulous. The guitar really comes alive with them. They also seem to hold their intonation better. I would get one, maybe two gigs out of my previous (popular brand) strings and the plain strings would go out of intonation before the wound strings went dead. I can play these until the wounds loose a bit of bite and the feel and tone stays consistent.
