I very much enjoy these strings. Great longevity and great, warm but articulate sound. Stretch 'em a bit and they like to stay in tune (which is more than I can say for some brands).

These are the highest quality strings I've played. The options the custom sets allow are right up a steel guitarist's alley. Plus, they're made in my state of Colorado!

I'm not here to say that these strings are some kind of metaphorical super soldier serum for your guit-fiddle, but they are easily the most consistent non-coated strings I've had the pleasure of playing (almost three whole weeks playing on them with no audible degradation toy ears). I've tried other brands' pure nickel strings before and usually they're dull or highlight some frequency that my ears find unpleasant. Thus far these have not. Very happy I've found these.

I recently became acquainted with Curt Mangan strings. I had been using Thomastik Bebop round wound and Swing flatwound strings on my Archtops and solid body electrics, and Elixir Phosphor Bronze on my flattop guitars. I tried the Curt Mangan pure nickel on the Archtops & electrics and monel strings for my flattop guitars. The pure nickel strings are amazing!!!!! They have the warm fat sound of flatwounds with the full range sound and overtones of round wounds (and at half the price!!). The monels are great for my flattops!! I generally don’t like the extreme brightness of phosphor bronze acoustic strings. The Monels keep the complex acoustic sound I prefer without the excessive brightness. This is a wonderful update to my acoustic flattop guitar sound. many thanks to Curt Mangan Strings!!!!!!!!!

I used another brand 9.5-44 set and didn't like the way the 'G' and 'D' were sized. Ordered the Custom 4 pack with the sizes I thought would work best for me and these strings are Killer!! Not only did they 'feel' more comfortable the tone was outstanding!!

These are such great strings. They last forever and feel terrific. My custom set runs 9, 11.5, 15, 24, 32, 42 and this just feels so much better than the standard nine set. Thanks Curt Mangan for making this possible!

I never thought that I’d needed another brand of strings until I had to buy some Mangans in a hurry. Now I’m sold.

These strings are fantastic. They sound great and really help bring the tone from my tele to life. The ability to create custom gauge sets is unbeatable. Customer for life.

Fantastic feeling and sounding. For years I have been ordering my own "custom gauge" strings from another seller. These are noticibly better in every way and I plan to put them to good use!!
